It’s not that I’m not affected by this, or that it’s easier on me then people would have expected. It’s far from that… It hurts. A lot. And I know it will for a long time. Everything I see, reminds me of you. I mean, even when it rains, I feel down, knowing that it always rained on our best days together… our first day together. So no, it’s not that this is easy, in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this strongly for someone ever before. I guess I’ve just come to the understanding that we won’t have much time together left, as we’re about to leave for college. I’m not going to spend it being bitter or angry at someone that I love. I’ve just decided to make the most of this time, and reciprocate whatever you’re willing to put into this. I’m not necessarily okay, but I will be. 

Sometimes you need to put your selfish desires aside for the ones you truly love and care about. When you truly love someone, with every ounce of your being, you understand that their happiness is what really matters in the end. Even if that means letting them go, or putting a little bit of space between yourselves, you always do what’s best for them. If things were meant to be, they will be. There can’t be the rainbow without the rain, so it’s important to remember that this too shall pass.
